Investing your money and financial planning using artificial intelligence
Recently I commented on a Linkedin post about how AI is influencing financial services.
There’s no doubt AI can improve financial services and accelerate and enhance decision-making in every part of the industry.
Robo-advisers have received alot of press, and companies with this technology are strongly promoting how AI-driven investment product advice can help you build a long term portfolio.
Any investor or anyone wanting to manage their money well, will still want to have important conversations, that are essential for any investor, such as:
*How could my investing choices today affect my life and financial situation in the future? and,
*what’s the relationship between risk in investing and the growth that I should expect from my investments, is there some kind of tradeoff? and;
*how do I know the outcome or recommendation created by AI is not sponsored by some large company that is selling their own products to me, and has implemented the AI?
Just like so many other things, we need to think carefully about where the information is coming from and how it comes together, and recognise there’s still value in discussing plans with someone experienced and trained in the field.
